At the 2012 Auto Expo, Nissan and their allies Ashok Leyland displayed a two-pronged approach with two different iterations of the Nissan NV200. While Nissan showcased the NV200 is a more premium avatar by way of the Evalia MPV, Ashok Leyland showcased the Stile - a commercial van based on the NV200.
The Stile is aimed at the commercial vehicle segment and will therefore be sold in varied forms depending upon the application - a cargo van, a people carrier for the fleet operators, an ambulance etc. The Stile also differentiates itself from the Evalia with different taillights and headlights which feature projection beam lamps. The rest of the body panels remain largely similar to its premium counterpart.
The Stile is expected to go on sale by the third quarter of 2013 and Ashok Leyland is expected to price the vehicle very competitively. Expect a price tag that starts in the range of Rs. 5.5 lakh.
