Audi S6

Audi previewed the S6 performance sedan to the Indian audiences at the 2012 Auto Expo itself - however it hasn’t launched the car officially in India yet. By the second quarter of 2013 though, the S6 should finally make its way into Audi’s Indian showrooms.

The S6 is to the A6 what the M5 is to the 5-series and the E63 AMG is to the E-class - a sportier, beefier, go-faster version. Under the hood of the S6 is a 4.0-litre TFSI V8 petrol engine that puts out 420 PS of power and 550 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch S-tronic gearbox and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the drivetrain manages to push the car from naught to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds! The engine also features a cylinder deactivation system for better fuel economy - in case you are going to care about it.

Like the BMW M5 and the Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, the  Audi S6 will be priced around the Rs 1-crore mark and will take on the aforementioned German performance saloons in India by mid-2013.
