Bentley's new V8 inspires a set of merchandise that includes a chronograph and a scale model amongst other things.
Bentley recently launched a brand new V8 engine that is said to be highly economical while being a powerhouse as you would expect from the Bentley badge. The V8 engine has not only spawned a new variant in the Continental line-up, it has now also given birth to a new set of merchandise that will be revealed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The Bentley V8 collection’s highlight is a chronograph that is designed and built by watchmaker Breitling – who have been closely associated with the carmaker for quite some time now. The Bentley V8 Chronograph has a silver-red colour scheme and features a second time-zone display. The red inner-ring bears names of twenty-four global locations and mimics the typography found on the instrumentation cluster of the Bentley Continental V8 line-up. Breitling will only produce 250 examples of this timepiece.
The Bentley V8 Collection also includes a 1:43 scale model of the Bentley Continental GT V8 and features a bespoke base and bears a placard stating the limited-edition production number. Speaking of which, only 100 examples of this scale model will be built.
Last but not the least, the Bentley V8 Collection will also include an iPhone and iPad case, a card holder with money clip, a Bentley key-ring and a V8 red pin badge. So if you’ve got the money, book your tickets to Geneva now, because chances are that the entire collection may get sold out even before the show ends!
