Prada unveils the 1950s Cadillac and Hot Rod-inspired shoe collection; they'll go great with jeans.
Prada, the quintessentially Italian fashion house has found an unlikely muse in the All-American vintage Cadillac and the Hot Rod for their 2012 Haute Couture Spring Summer collection. Micccia Prada has unveiled a range of shoes that have taken inspiration from the 1950's classic American tail fin cars era.
The super-chic stilettos, platforms, pumps and wedges sport Cadillac red and racing green colours. Detailing on the shoes comes from the highly polished chrome trim pieces and tiny red, bullet-shaped taillights. Flames shoot out of the back of the shoes in the way they do from a Hot Rod's exhaust pipe. The heels are also seen decorated with tiny spoilers and wings.
Shoes mean to women as much as cars mean to men, so here is a product that combines the respective passion of both the sexes together. Each of these beautiful pairs will set you back by approximately $1450 (Rs 67,000 aproximately) when the collection goes on sale later this year. It may not be for everyone, we know but when you do buy one these expensive and stunning pairs of high heels for your special lady friend, she will at least know that your heart and mind are in the right place.
