We bring you a list of ten mommy-mobiles for ten different mommy-types.

Mother's Day is upon us. And each one of us owes our existence to our mom's decision to spend year after year putting our interests before theirs. All that we are and all that we ever hope to be, we owe it to our moms.
And to mark this special day, OnCars team - taking into account that every mom is different and special in her own way - has taken the liberty of considering 10 different stereotypes of moms and have matched each stereotype with a car, we think are most approbate for them.
So, this one goes out to all the mothers who have kept awake all night with their sick toddlers, taken teenagers into their arms after their first heartbreak and consoled young adults - all the while, constantly uttering those compassionate words, "It's okay honey, mommy's here."

- For the Executive Mom – Volkswagen Passat
Monday morning meetings and business class travel are a part of her routine, while dropping her kids to school and grooming them for the corporate lifestyle becomes her everyday necessity. The Volkswagen Passat makes for an ideal choice for such a mom, for its price tag not only announces that she’s arrived, it also teaches her kids the difference between sensibility and extravagance. To top it all – the Passat can also park itself – just in case the chauffer is on leave.

- For the Stylish Mom - Honda Brio
No matter what time of the day it is, or how busy her schedule is, this mom has a knack of staying right on track with current style and trends, never has a bad hair day and is always on her toes with perfectly manicured nails. For such moms, there is nothing better in the market today than the Honda Brio that stands out from the crowd in terms of performance and reliability and screams ‘stylish’ from almost every angle.

- For the Speedy Mom – Skoda Laura vRS
Who said women don’t have a need for speed? Plenty of women on the road can handle the throttle with spectacular precision, just as they handle a knife and an onion in the kitchen. We believe that such speed-loving moms will feel at home behind the wheel of the Skoda Laura vRS. It’s got precision handling, has enough horsepower, is relatively cheap and even has iso-fix points for mounting child seats – what more do you need for taking your kid on a blasting ride through the twisties?

- For the Green Mom - Toyota Prius
For the moms who constantly worry about their kids eating healthy and possess an honest obsession of preserving our planet through recycling and re-using household objects, there are sadly not many options in the Indian market today. That brings our options list to only two cars, the Toyota Prius hybrid car and the Mahindra Reva electric car. However, with the constant load shedding prevalent in the country and considering the fact that the production version of the Reva NXR has still not arrived in the market, the Prius then becomes the preferred option, for good reasons at that.

- For the Adventurous Mom - Skoda Yeti SUV
Then, there are the types of moms who like to break away from the neon city lights every now and then and head to the countryside to catch lightning bugs, inspect frogs and make fabulous mud cakes along with their kids. For such moms, with the 'I can do that' spirit, the Skoda Yeti SUV becomes an ideal choice to pack in those pop-up tents and sleeping bags and head to the mountains for a weekend getaway.

- For the Soccer Mom - Range Rover Evoque
India is a country obsessed with cricket – but football is catching up too. But when it comes to kicking the ball in India, everyone wants his or her kid to do it like Beckham! What better way to hone you football-crazy kids then, than driving them to the field in a car that Mrs. Beckham endorses? Plus, it’s a Range Rover so no matter how many potholes you drive through; your kids won’t be tossed around. Oh and that also means that their Beckham-inspired weird hairdos won’t be messed up either!

- For the Cricket Mom – Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Just like there is a term called ‘Soccer Moms’ in the United States, in India there is brewing phenomenon called ‘Cricket Moms,’ thanks to the long standing affair of Indians with the sport and the latest burst of MPVs and people carriers in the country. For such moms, who have been blessed with little Tendulkars and Dhonis, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV seems like an ideal choice to pack in the kids and their friends to the evening net practice. And there is also plenty of space to throw in wet towels, Gatorades and shampoos.

- For the Safety-Conscious Mom – Audi Q3
Believe it or not, there ARE some well-learned, sensible-headed people in our country who rate vehicular safety higher than creature comforts and styling. For the kind of mom who belongs to this tiny group of safety-conscious Indians, the new Q3 makes for a great choice – though slightly pricey. It has got a commanding driving position like a SUV – so you feel like you are top of the world; its relatively compact – so congestion shouldn’t make you sweat; its got tons of safety elements that you can associate with an Audi and it has got iso-fix points for mounting the child seats – so that your kids remain perfectly safe when you are scaling little hillocks or running over small cars!

For the Economical Mom – Tata Indica EV2
India is a land where the kid’s career path is defined the day he or she is born – and in most Indian families, the mother will start saving each and every penny for her child’s education even before the kid’s naming ceremony gets underway. This kind of mom will never spend a penny more than what she needs; will not care about her own comfort or luxury and will invest only when she is convinced about the returns. For such a mom, the Indica eV2 makes perfect sense – it’s cheap to buy and own, returns 25kmpl and it doesn’t catch fire spontaneously – so it’s safe(r) too!

- For the Strict Mom - Mercedes Benz G55 AMG
Strictness is defined as being rigidly accurate and more often, straight-faced too. So it is but natural, that such a mom would like her car to have similar attributes too – and which car can fulfill them better than the G55 AMG? It’s got serious firepower to make the kids happy, the growl of the AMG powerplant that is loud enough to scare them. Plus, the car also has a compulsive need to be the best at what it does. What’s more, it comes from Hitler’s land – so being strict it’s a part of its bloodline!
