The all-new 3-Series will be launched in India on July 27, 2012 in Mumbai.
BMW will finally launch the much-awaited 2012 BMW 3-Series by the end of this month and it’s about time the German automaker got their act right, considering the Europeans have already been enjoying the market share for over six months. Although it will not be launched here before 27th of July, BMW in an effort to keep the anticipation growing, has already sent QR coded promotion cars out on the roads. The convoy, seen before in Bangalore, has been spotted this time near Malad in Mumbai.

These promotion vehicles doing rounds across several cities in India are completely masked in white with QR codes all over the bodywork. If you happen to spot one, all you need to do is scan these codes with a QR code reader and it will direct you to the new 3-Series’ official website.

When launched, the 2012 3-Series is expected to come with two petrol and two diesel options with three trim levels – Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line. The 320i four-cylinder petrol and 320d four-cylinder turbocharged diesel versions will certainly be available here. BMW may also offer the high-performance 328i with in-line six cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
