The facelifted hatchback is expected to arrive in the Indian market by the end of 2012.

2012 Chevrolet Beat facelift caught on test

General Motors has set its mind on completely overhauling its product portfolio in India this year. First the Chevrolet Tavera was refreshed and presented at the 2012 Auto Expo, following the very recent launch of the facelifted Captiva and the Cruze sedan with revised engine and features. Then came the company's official announcement stating that its Aveo, Aveo U-VA and the Optra models will be axed in the coming months, to make way for the Sail sedan and Sail U-VA hatchback to come in and replace the Aveo siblings.

The only model then, that was left out without any upgrades was the Chevrolet Beat hatchback. And now thanks to MotorVikatan, we have the first spy shots of what seems to be the facelifted version of the Beat hatchback, doing its pre-determined test rounds in the country.

From the image of the Beat facelift spotted in India, it seems like the new model will wear a new front bumper and a new, bigger grille. It is worth nothing that the Beat seen here resembles closely to the model showcased at this year's New York International Auto Show, where it goes by the name of Chevrolet Spark.

With the introduction of the new facelifted Beat in the Indian market, General Motors would have successfully updated its entire range of cars  for India. We expect the new 2012 Chevrolet Beat to arrive sometime in November, to end the year with a bang.
