British premium carmaker, Mini has launched the all-new 2012 Mini Roadster in the U.S market with a base price of $24,350 (Rs 12.37 lakh approximately.) The Mini Roadster is the first open-top two-seater in the history of Mini and will be manufactured at the company's assembly plant on the outskirts of Oxford in U.K. The Mini Roadster will be available in three flavors, the Cooper Roadster, the Cooper S Roadster and the John Cooper Works Roadster. 

The base version Cooper Roadster is priced at $24,350 (Rs 13.67 lakh approximately) and is powered by a 121PS 1.6-litre inline four engine that hits the 0 to 100 kmph mark in 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 199 kmph.

The Cooper S Roaster is priced at $27,350 (Rs 13.67 approximately) features a 181PS 1.6-litre turbo charged unit that allows it to hit the 100 kmph mark in 6.7 seconds while hitting a top speed of 226 kmph.

Finally, the John Cooper Works Roadster is the most expensive at $34,500 (Rs 17.25 lakh) and also the fastest, owing to it 208PS 1.6-litre turbo engine that accelerates to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 236 kmph.
