2012 Moscow Motor Show - Skoda Yeti Sochi Special Edition revealed

The SE Yeti pays tribute to the Russian city, Sochi where the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held.

The 2012 London Summer Olympics may have just wrapped up, but that isn't stopping the automotive industry to start gearing up for the 2014 Winter Olympics that will be held in the Russian city called Sochi. And Volkswagen AG being one of the official partners of the event, it's Czech brand, Skoda wants to do something special and have therefore, announced a special edition Yeti.

Dubbed as the Skoda Yeto Sochi, the model features a candy white exterior with special badging and unique 17-inch 'Matterhorn' alloy wheels. Changes on the inside are limited to two-tone seats, which comes engraved with 'Sochi 2014' tags, blue/grey contrast stitching and exclusive door sill plates.

Power comes from a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine that churns out 152PS of max power. The engine comes mated to a dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
The Skoda Yeti Sochi Special Edition will be exclusively sold in the Russian market, starting next year.

"This country is one of the world's strongest-growing market and offers tremendous potential for ŠKODA. We intend to resolutely continue our dynamic development of recent years. We will have more capacity in the future so as to further raise our sales in Russia.” he added.
