Nissan's Ertiga competitor has arrived; offered in a total of four variants.
Nissan India has rolled out its newest MPV, the all-new 2012 Nissan Evalia in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi.)
Also known as the NV200 overseas, the Evalia is more of a utilitarian van than a typical MPV. The tall, boxy silhouette and the rear sliding doors are no match for the design seen in some of the modern MPVs like the Ertiga and the Innova.
Powering the rather uninspiring bodywork is a tuned version of the proven 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine, courtesy of the Renault-Nissan alliance. Producing about 85PS of power and 200Nm of torque, the Evalia is expected to perform just as well, if not better than the Ertiga in real world conditions.

The 2012 Nissan Evalia is being offered in a total of four variants - the base XE, XE Plus, XL and the top end XV.
Features such as the power steering, power mirrors, a music system with AUX inputs and ABS with EBD are being offered as standard, even on the base XE variant. The XE Plus variant gets a driver and passenger airbags, while the XL variant also gets the Keyless Entry feature, AC vents at the rear and a double DIN music system. The top-end variant XV, on the other hand gets added features such as fog lamps, push button start as well as a reversing camera.
Given below is the list of variants and the corresponding prices of the 2012 Nissan Evalia MPV.
2012 Nissan Evalia XE - Rs 8.49 lakh
2012 Nissan Evalia XE Plus - Rs 8.92 lakh
