The European Rapid is likely to come with similar engine options as the model sold here in India.
Skoda has officially revealed the Europe-bound Rapid at the ongoing Paris Motor show. Having shown it as a concept in Frankfurt last year, the production model is out now in public. Also, the carmaker has released the pricelist with the entry-level model coming in at about Rs 11 lakh.
Unlike the Rapid sold here in India, this new model takes its design inspiration from the stunning MissionL concept and is the first car to adopt Skoda’s all-new design language. In the UK, the Rapid is being offered in three variants – S, SE and Elegance while the engine range is likely to remain the same as its erstwhile cousin. These variants will come fitted with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox depending on the models.

As for the features, the Rapid gets daytime running lights with cornering foglamps, curtain airbags, cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth enabled audio system and much more. The car will go on sale in Europe from second week of November and will be positioned below the Octavia (Laura in India)
