The S-Cross will not replace the SX4 crossover; will spawn a new range of models instead.
Earlier it had been said that the new S-Cross concept will mark as a replacement to the current SX4 crossover sold in Europe. However, now that the S-Cross concept is out in the public, Suzuki has made it clear that it will not replace the SX4 crossover.
In fact, this new model will mark Suzuki’s full-scale entry into the C-segment crossovers as the production model will be positioned above the SX4 crossover and will take on the Renault Duster (Dacia Duster in UK)

While the SX4 is based on the Swift, the S-Cross has been designed on a completely new platform but as Suzuki says, it promises to keep the performance and dynamic capabilities of the Swift series on which the SX4 is based.
As for the design, the carmaker says the S-Cross represents an “Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics” design theme, which is typified by distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body. The S-Cross is expected to arrive in Europe by the end of 2013 and will be sold above the SX4 crossover.
