2012 Renault Duster SUV launched in Mumbai at Rs 7.47 lakh

After taking the audience in New Delhi by a storm yesterday morning, at the launch of the all-new Duster SUV at a ridiculously 'killer' starting price of Rs 7.17 lakh, the French automaker turned to Mumbai and forced a similar dazed outburst from the audience in the city last evening by introducing the Duster at a starting price of Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai.)

At the launch function, the French automaker revealed that its Duster SUV, the bookings for which had already opened two weeks before the official launch, has gathered over 4,200 bookings, as of yesterday. It is no secret, that the booking numbers are just going to soar much more in the coming days, considering the highly competitive pricing of the SUV. 

However, hard core off-loading fans will be disappointed as the company has no intentions of getting in a 4X4 variant of the SUV into the country any time soon. 

When Renault first stepped into the country in 2011, they had announced to bring in five new models before the end of 2012. And staying true to its promise, the  2012 Renault Duster SUV is the fourth model coming out of the French company into the Indian market on time, after Fluence, Pulse and the Koleos SUV.
