The latest generation of the Santa Fe will launched in India during mid-2013.

Hyundai India appears to be readying the replacement for the Santa Fe as Team BHP have managed to snag what could be the first spy shots of the all-new 2013 Santa Fe being tested on Indian soil. This latest generation model made its first appearance at the 2012 New York Auto Show and is expected to be launched in India during mid-2013.
When compared to the current Santa Fe sold in India, the 2013 model looks far more aggressive as it incorporates the Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy seen in recent Hyundai models. Hyundai says that the design is inspired by the ‘strong and dynamic images created by nature during the formation of storm’, as is evident from the striking looking front-end. The back-end though looks a bit tamed in comparison. Nevertheless, the 2013 Santa Fe looks a lot more dynamic than the current model.
Under the hood, the 2013 Santa Fe will be powered by a revised 2.2-litre diesel engine producing around 200 PS of power and 431 Nm of torque as compared to the current engine’s output of 197 PS and 420 Nm. Also, like the current model, the 2013 Santa Fe is expected to grace the Indian market as a fully imported vehicle however, Hyundai India could consider taking the CKD route now that the all-new Honda CR-V is locally assembled and priced more competitively than ever.
