Joining the growing list of the manufactures to unveil their products before their respective scheduled debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week is BMW's Mini brand, which have revealed it's most powerful production ever in the form of 2013 Mini Countryman John Cooper Works. The Mini Countryman SUV becomes the sixth model in the Mini's range to get the 'John Cooper Works' (JCW) performance label after the Cooper hatchback, Cabrio, Clubman, Coupe and Roadster models.

The five-seater Countryman had already been carrying racing genes, which was evident when the SUV took the top honors in this year's Dakar Rally and with the souped-up JCW version, these inherent talents have been polished further to produce the most powerful Mini even in the history of the company.

The 0 to 100kmph mark is reached in 7 seconds with a top speed of 225kmph. The JCW edition Countryman comes with Mini's AWD system as standard. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, however the edition can also be ordered with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body is a brake package specific to the Countryman JCW, as well as sports suspension and strengthened anti-roll bars, lowering the ride height by 10mm. The on-board ‘Sport’ button enhances the responsiveness and sound of the engine and the power assistance provided by the steering. The go-fast exterior kit includes 18-inch lightweight alloys, sports exhaust system with chrome tailpipes, a muscular aerodynamics package and John Cooper Works badges.

The top-spec John Cooper Works variant of the Mini Countryman will be present at the Geneva Motor Show, which will kick start next week and will go on sale worldwide by the end of this year.
