2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS coming to Beijing Motor Show

Porsche has just revealed the first official images of the 2013 Cayenne GTS which will make its first public appearance at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show which begins later this month. The Cayenne GTS, as Porsche claims, is an SUV with the prowess of a sports car. To achieve this, the Cayenne GTS gets an up-rated V8 powerplant that puts out 420PS of power and is be mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. There is a Start-Stop function too to keep the environmentalists happy. The Cayenne GTS manages to sprint from a naught to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of up to 261 km/h. Porsche claims a fuel economy of a little less than 10 kmpl.

As you can see in the photos, the Porsche Cayenne GTS does look very sporty in spite of its SUV bulk. The front end comes from the top-of-the-line Cayenne Turbo, while the gloss-black rims, roof-rails and exhaust pipes give it a sinister character. We don’t particularly like the shade of green colour used in these official photos but you may like it in flesh if you head over to the Beijing Motor Show. 

The 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS will be placed between the Cayenne S / S Hybrid and the Cayenne Turbo and will be priced at 91,608 USD (Rs 46 lakh approximately, without duties and taxes). Expect the Cayenne GTS to come to India in the next few months. Stay tuned for more.
