2013 Skoda Octavia shows a sneak-peek

What you see here is an images of the body-work that could take shape as the all new Skoda Octavia in 2013. This is big news because the current, global Skoda Octavia sells like hot buns in India as the Skoda Laura. If the image seen here is true, then the new Octavia / Laura will trade-in its raised-brow headlights for more angular ones.

Going by what we can see here, the all-new Octavia’s design is heavily inspired from the Vision-D concept that was shown last year. In fact, the Vision-D concept was an insight into the new design direction that Skoda will embrace for their upcoming range of cars. The first evolution of the new design language was recently seen in the form of the Mission-L Concept which Skoda exhibited at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. 

Very little information is available yet about the all new Skoda Octavia’s mechanicals, but we expect a mix of current powertrains and new ones which could include some sort of hybrid propulsion for the European markets.
