2013 Volvo V40 - official images leaked

Expected to arrive in India by 2013; will compete with the A3, B-Class and 1-Series.

Volvo had released a grainy teaser image just a week ago of the five-door hatchback that will compete with the likes of the BMW 1-Series, Audi A3 and Mercedes Benz B-Class, the prototype version of which was known as V30. However, an official announcement from Volvo's CEO, Stefan Jacoby stated that the compact luxury car will be official called, Volvo V40.
Thanks to a Polish magazines’ Facebook page, the first official image of the newest hatchback have been leaked onto the Internet and the V40 now stands for full scrutiny.
The sleek five-door hatch will be replacing the company's two existing models, the S40 sedan and V50 wagon and the C30 hatchback in the international market. The stylish new compact hatchback will take its first public bow at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Auto Show next month where more details and specs will be revealed.

According to recent reports, Volvo India is mulling to introduce two major models in the international market in the year 2012, of which it's luxury small car will land on the Indian shores. In all likelihood, the Volvo V40 would see the light of day in the Indian market by the first quarter of 2013. In India, the small luxury car is expected to be price between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 22 lakh.
