91st Mahindra Great Escape concludes in Lonavla

More than 130 Mahindra vehicles demonstrated its rugged DNA at the ardous off-roading track in Lonavla.

The 91st edition of the Mahindra Great Escape, one of India's most popular off-roading adventures, concluded successfully in Lonavla this Saturday with more than 130 2WD and 4WD vehicles from the Mahindra's stable maneuvering the challenging off-loading track.
The Great Escape event at Lonavala, which was the second Great escape event held this season following Kottayam Great Escape, saw participation from people based in Mumbai, Pune, Nasik and neighboring states in their respective Mahindra vehicles such as the Mahindra Bolero, Scorpio and the extreme off-roader, the Mahindra Thar 4X4.
The rally that was flagged off at 10:30AM from 19 Degrees North, Lonavla took the off-loading junkies through an ardous terrain that had them test their off-roading skills through rocky and rain soaked terrain, slush, canals and streams.

Also this year, Mahindra Great Escape that nestles under the Mahindra Adventure brand has initiated a concept of an all-India off-road championship. Held for the first time in the country, the 'Off-Roading trophy' will see participation of winners from five more Great Escapes scheduled in this calendar year. The winners from the Kottayam Great Escape and the Lonavla Great Escape will compete with the winners for the trophy at the semi-final and finals in identical Thar vehicles.
This edition of Mahindra Great Escape was conducted in association with MAXXIS tyros, who are the title partner for all the Great Escapes and the 'Off-Roading Trophy' this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vivek Nayer, senior vice president, marketing and automotive sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are delighted to host this edition of the Mahindra Great Escape at Lonavla. The Mahindra Great Escape route was chalked out by the Mahindra Adventure team, while the ‘With You Hamesha’ service team ensured that participants could enjoy the rally unhindered.
