All new Ford Fiesta just a few days away

A little while back we told you that the current Fiesta will be ‘re-launched’ in a day or two with the ‘Classic’ badging. While it has stepped down to replace the now defunct Ikon, it has made space at the top for the all new Fiesta!

Powered by a 1.6-litre petrol powerplant, the new Fiesta is Ford’s answer to the Honda City, VW Vento, Fiat Linea and the upcoming Hyundai Verna RB. This 1.6-litre engine is the same mill that does duty under the current Fiesta’s hood, with variable valve timing. It will be joined by another engine to cater to the diesel loving janata, in the form of a new 90PS 1.4-litre turbo diesel.

The new Fiesta is expected to be unveiled on the 14^th of April, 2011 at a Press Conference in Delhi. We expect bookings to commence immediately and the deliveries starting by the end of this month. Stay tuned as we bring you more news on this front.
