We bring you all the information and details of the all-new Rexton W SUV which takes on the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
After months of speculations, rumors and a series of spy shots, Mahindra has officially rolled out its first product in partnership with Korean auto giant, Ssangyong. The company has launched the hugely-awaited Rexton W SUV at a starting price of Rs 17.67 lakh.
For the Indian market, the Rexton W has been introduced in two variants - RX5 manual & RX7 automatic. The cheaper Rexton RX5 features a 2.7-litre 5-cylinder RX270 XDi diesel engine mated to a manual gearbox. It churns out 165PS of max power and 340Nm of peak torque, while the Rexton W RX7 is available only with an automatic gearbox. The engine powering the RX7 variant is the same 2.7-litre 5-cylinder unit but in here, it’s retuned to give 187PS of max power and 402Nm of max torque.

Available in either a 5-seater or a 7-seater configuration with a choice of four color options - Satin White, Moondust Silver, Volcano Black and Opulent Purple; the Rexton W RX5 manual costs Rs 17.67 lakh, while the RX7 featuring an E-Tronic automatic gearbox costs Rs 19.67 lakh. All prices Ex-showroom Mumbai.
