The carmaker also plans to add 5 more dealerships by the end of 2012.
Having recorded an impressive 48 per cent sales growth YTD (year-to-date) with 5,406 units sold in the first 8 months (January-August 2012), it’s only about time Audi India surpasses its 2011 annual sales figure of 5,511 units.
As for the monthly sales, Audi India registered a 42 per cent growth with a total sale of 726 units in August 2012. The company had sold 510 units over the same period last year. According to Mr. Michael Perschke (Head, Audi India) with nearly 5,500 units sold so far, the company is confident of steering towards, and potentially surpassing its target of 8,000 units this year.

“The year 2012 has been remarkable for Audi in India. Our steady growth amidst the challenging market conditions in the luxury car segment is not only commendable but also showcases the faith our customers have entrusted in us. This is fuelling our growth in India and we continue to be the fastest growing brand in the luxury car segment. We are expanding our reach and we plan to add 5 more dealerships by the end of this year to our existing network of 20.” said Mr. Perschke.
