Audi India sells over a thousand units in Sep 2012; records highest ever monthly sales

Audi India has announced that September 2012 was the most successful month in terms of sales with the company delivering an impressive 1011 vehicles, its highest ever monthly sales in the country so far. Audi says the monthly sales figure has grown by 82 per cent over the same period last year which stood at 555 units.

Moreover, the carmaker has already crossed its 2011 annual sales within the first nine months this year. Having sold 5511 units in Jan-Dec 2011, Audi India has already gone past the figure with sales of 6417 units, recording a 52 per cent growth rate YTD (Jan-Sep 2011 – 4210 units) 

Commenting on the success, Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, said “Our performance in September has been stellar. We have witnessed a record month with 1011 vehicles sold, our highest ever in India so far. Apart from this, September also enabled us to cross another milestone by surpassing our annual sales figure of 2011. Increasing input costs, inflation and weakening of the rupee forced us to increase prices for Audi Q3 and we are also evaluating price increases for other models in the later part of the year.”
