All-new crossover will go into production in 2015 and will compete with the Mini Countryman.

Audi launched their smallest crossover in India, the Q3, a week back – and the first phase is already sold-out. The reason is simple, 5-seater Audi SUV, four-wheel-drive, good looks and all of this for less than 30 lakh. Audi has got the recipe right with all three crossovers and now plans to take it one step further with even smaller one, which will be presented in the concept form at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The reports suggest that Audi will unveil a new concept at the Paris Motor Show in September that will form the base for the new Q2 crossover. Like all new VW group cars this one will also be based on the MQB platform and is expected to share components with the A1 and the upcoming A2. The reports also suggest that the car will be production ready by 2015 and will compete with the Mini Countryman.
In size, the Audi A2 will be smaller than the Skoda Yeti – which will also get the same underpinnings when the car is refreshed in 2015. The car already sounds like a hit - it will smaller than the Q3 and also cheaper. Audi just has to get the basic right, also they should think of locally manufacturing this car in India instead of CKD, it will make it will make the car cheaper and also get them bigger numbers and more profit margins.
