BMW India will soon launch the 2013 X1 facelift to take on the likes of Audi Q3.

BMW introduces 2013 X1 facelift in Indonesia ahead of India launch

BMW’s compact crossover, the X1 has been in the Indian market since a long time and has seen a fair bit of success, thanks to its sensible price-tag. However, the X1 sold here is the pre-facelift model launched back in 2010.

The facelifted model – the 2013 X1 meanwhile is already available in a number of global markets including the US and China. BMW has now launched the 2013 X1 in the Indonesian market, ahead of its India debut.

The design changes in the updated X1 are limited to subtle tweaks - to say the least. This new model features revised headlight housings, a redesigned front bumper, a large double-kidney grille, and sleeker looking mirror housings.

As for the engine and drive-train options, the X1 facelift retains the 2-litre petrol and diesel engines from the current model. We expect BMW to launch the X1 facelift in India in the next couple of months to take on Audi’s runaway success model, the Q3.
