Breaking: 2012 Audi S4 3.0 TFSI launched in India for Rs 45.31 lakh

During the Indian launch of the Audi A4 in May, Michael Perschke, Director at Audi India, had expressed the carmaker’s intent of bring the S4 to the Indian market. What followed was a series of buzz, teasers and even requests from fans on Audi India’s Facebook page. 

However, the wait seems to be over as Audi has silently slipped the sports sedan into the Indian market. The 2012 Audi S4 will be priced at Rs 45.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and will be available with the 3.0 TFSI badge. Which means that under the hood of the S4 will be a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that puts out over 335 PS of power an 440 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven speed S-tronic gearbox. The car will be shod with 245/40-R18 rubber which help put the power down to the road and help the car sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than five seconds with a restricted top end whack of 250 km/h.
