Force Motors plans to set up new facility in Gujarat

Gujarat has always been a preferred destination for automobile manufacturers to set up their respective facilities, given the state’s affinity to provide better economic benefits to companies. And soon to join the list of manufacturers in the state of Gujarat is Pune-based Force Motors. 

It is understood that Force Motors is planning to set up a new facility in the state of Gujarat for its commercial vehicles and is currently in talks with the government regarding land acquisition. The automaker plans to purchase 700 to 800 acres of land either in Sanand or Halol and is expected to infuse an investment of close to Rs 2,000 crore in the new project. 

At present, Force Motors has a CV manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and with the new plant in Gujarat the company aims to ramp up the annual production capacity by 65 per cent. The company is also focusing on expanding its dealership network from current 19 to 30 by 2013.
