The EcoSport with top-of-the-line Titanium TDCI badging spied around Chennai.

Ford unveiled the highly economical EcoBoost 1.0-litre petrol engine along with the concept EcoSport before the 2012 Auto Expo. The award winning really small petrol engine will power the EcoSport, but then most Indians have become allergic to petrol and if Ford is really looking to up the numbers, then they have to offer diesel mill.
There were rumours earlier that Ford may first launch the petrol EcoSport followed by diesel. Well there is no information on that front yet, but we know for sure that the much awaited car won’t be coming before 2013. The EcoSport has been spotted quite regularly around Ford’s facility in Chennai, however this time our friends at Indian Autos Blog have scooped a car, without camouflage and with Titanium TDCI badging.
Ford already offers a reliable 1.5-litre diesel engine with the Fiesta and that is the same engine which will power the diesel EcoSport. The EcoSport is a sub-4 meter car and also gets a diesel within regulations, making it eligible for small-car tax subsidy.
