Ford seems to have injected some Botox into its highest selling model, the Figo.

The Figo hatch is currently the best selling model for Ford in India and it is expected to hold fort till the time their new 2014 small car arrives. Ford has got all the basic ingredients right with the Figo and hence the numbers talk for themselves. The diesel hatch is value for money, economical and spacious and has been doing quite well in the entry-level diesel hatchback segment. However, many B-segment were updated in recent past including the Swift and the i20 and few others might follow the suite.
It is hence important for Ford to update the Figo to maintain the novelty factor. Of course, the company did add a few features to this hatchback some months back like the adjustable steering and USB compatible music system, but the overall design remained the same. Now our friends at Motor Vikatan spotted a test mule of the Figo near Ford’s factory in Chennai that looks like a facelfi version.

The Figo facelift test mule was has a yellow paint work, which is currently not on offer. The redesigned tail lights are clearly visible in the image, while the spotters claim of tapped-up headlamp on this Figo. The car which is based on MK5 Fiesta is anticipated may also come with new features rather than just handful of visual changes.
If the facelift version is to go on sale this year, Ford will have to launch this model by end of August to get maximum advantage of the festive seasons.
