Ford will launch the feature-rich version to keep up with the latest trend in small car technology

Ford Figo facelift to come with keyless entry and Stop/Start feature

Covering the most relevant creature comforts and safety features at a price tag tempting to many; the Ford Figo, has undoubtedly been a runaway success for Ford in India. The hatchback is expected to hold fort for the American carmaker till the time their all-new small car arrives in 2014. However, in keeping with the competitive nature of the small car market, it is a must that the car is updated every once in a while just like the i10 and the new Swift and few others. It hence makes sense that even Ford preserves the novelty factor of the Figo by introducing a facelifted version.

We did report about the facelift Figo doing rounds outside Ford’s Chennai facility, in never seen before Yellow. Now there are few reports about new features on this updated version. The Figo is rumored to come with a couple of high-end features in the form of Start/Stop button and keyless entry (also found in the Nissan Micra) although in here, the Start/Stop feature is placed next to the gearstick as against on the dashboard. Earlier in the year, Ford also added a few more features like adjustable steering and USB-enabled music system to make the car more desirable.

We think these additional high-end features (if made available) will add about Rs 30,000 to the price tag of the high-end Titanium versions. We expect this car to be launched in next few months to coincide with festive seasons.
