One minute to go for the Indian national anthem at the IndianGP. 

Shaan sings the Indian national anthem at the Airtel Indian GP.

Five minutes for the race to start.

And off they go for the Formation Lap, without any problems. 

Finally the lights go out and the race begins!

Schumacher on his way back the pits with a punctured right rear tyre.

Hamilton goes down to fifth, followed by Massa, Kimi and Perez. Maldonado 11th and Senna 13th. 

Karthikeyan 22nd.

Vettel opens up a gap of 2.3 seconds ahead of team-mate Mark Webber.

Karthikeyan been asked by his team to cool his brakes down a bit.

Hamilton overtakes Button for 4th place.

Karthikeyan has been asked to slow down. His car seems to be running hot.

Vergne overtakes Karthikeyan for the 22nd position.  

Webber sets the new fastest lap. Vettel in his sights. 

Hulkenberg now 8th. Perez pits. 

Perez rejoins, 16th at the moment. Vergne overtakes De La Rosa for 21st. 

Maldonado down to 12th. Vettel, Webber, Alonso, Hamilton, Button are the top five at the moment.  

Race over for Sergio Perez

Vettel a whole 7.1 seconds ahead of Webber. 

McLaren now gets ready for their first pit stop.

Grosjean passes Rosberg for 9th. 

Alonso just 1.8s behind Webber. Button pits and rejoins, now 9th.

A Lot of drivers in the pits now. 

Alonso pits. Hamilton third now.  

Maldonado receives a puncture. Webber pits and switches to Hards. 

Maldonado and Kobayashi under investigation. Lewis pits and rejoins at 4th. 

Vettel pits and rejoins the race at P1.

Schumacher pits for the second time. 

Schumacher under investigation now for ignoring blue flags.

Stewards announce that no further action will be taken against Kobayashi and Maldonado.  

Alonso asked to save fuel. As the saying goes, when in Rome...

Webber seems to have some problem with KERS. De La Rosa spins off.  

De La Rosa retires. 

Alonso finally overtakes Webber for the second place. 

Hamilton motivated by the team to overtake Webber. A 3s difference between them.

Hamilton a mere 1.5s away from Webber. 

Schumacher starts making progress. In 19th position at the moment. 

MSC now 18th. On the other end of the standings, Vettel's car emanating a lot of sparks, maybe from the floor tray. 

Schumacher had started gaining pace but now has entered the pits. He retires!

Hamilton just 1.2s behind Webber now. 

Vettel finishes the Indian GP in P1.

Alonso second and Webber third.

Karthikeyan finishes 21st.
