Hyundai India announces price hike across its entire line up

The hike in prices will come into effect from February 1, 2013.
The skyrocketing input costs and the ever fluctuating currency have pushed several carmakers to raise the prices of their products. Hyundai, for one, has announced that there will be a price hike across its entire model range, starting from Eon to Santa Fe.
Commenting on the price hike Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, VP - Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, “On account of rise in input cost and fluctuation in currency, the price hike has been necessitated. We have increased the prices in the range of Rs.4201 to Rs. 20,878 across all the models. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimize the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers.”
The rise in prices of the entire Hyundai range is given below.
- Hyundai Eon will now cost an additional Rs 5,000
- Hyundai Santro will now cost an additional Rs 4,201
- Hyundai i10 will now cost an additional Rs 5,000
- Hyundai i20 Petrol will now cost an additional Rs 8,658
- Hyundai i20 Diesel will now cost an additional Rs 5,708
- Hyundai Verna Petrol will now cost an additional Rs 8,500
- Hyundai Verna Diesel will now cost an additional Rs 6,453
- Hyundai Elantra Petrol will now cost an additional Rs 13,212
- Hyundai Elantra Diesel will now cost an additional Rs 12,631
- Hyundai Sonata will now cost an additional Rs 17,187
- Hyundai Santa Fe will now cost an additional Rs 20,878
The price hike across all the models will come into effect from February 1, 2013.
