The seven seater SUV has been priced at Rs 23.75 lakh & the pick-up at Rs 6.87 lakh.
Isuzu is a Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer known for its trucks of all sizes. Although it already has a fair bit of presence in India thought its alliance with Swaraj Mazda Limited, the company has been mulling to enter the ever growing commercial and more importantly, multi utility vehicle segment in India.

With this endeavor, Isuzu recently set up an individual entity called Isuzu Motors Limited that will produce small commercial vehicles (SCVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs.) And the newly established company has taken the first vital step today in creating a foot-hold in the Indian UV segment by rolling out two new models in the country - the Isuzu MU-7 SUV (that was caught on test near Pune in an OnCars exclusive) and the D-Max pick-up, which has been priced at Rs 23.75 lakh and Rs 6.87 lakh- for the single cab version - respectively. The double cab version of the D-Max pick-up has been priced at Rs 8.09 lakh. (All prices are ex-showroom, Hyderabad.)

Currently, both the models are being imported via the CBU route from Thailand but Isuzu Motors Limited are already in the final stages of its plans to set up a manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh and has drawn out an initial investment amount of Rs 1,000 crore. Once the production begins at the said facility, the company will be able to price its models competitively in the Indian market. Contract manufacturing with Hindustan Motors – Mitsubishi is also an option that Isuzu is looking at.
At the moment, we understand that there are two showrooms, which are operational - one in Hyderabad and the other in Coimbatore - and are taking bookings for both the models - booking amount being Rs 50,000.
