Jaguar Land Rover to celebrate 50 years of James Bond at 2012 Paris Motor Show

Jaguar Land Rover is gearing up to celebrate 50 year of James Bond at the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show this month, by showcasing one of the Land Rover Defenders used in upcoming Bond movie, Skyfall. The Double Cab Pick Up, driven in the opening sequence by field agent Eve - played by Naomie Harris - will be showcased on the Land Rover stand in Paris from 28 September.

The Hollywood action flick that will be released in India on 2 November 2012 features a total of 77 vehicles in the movie, including the Land Rover Defender, Range Rover and the Jaguar XJ. These high-end cars were used for on-screen shoots as well as production support vehicles.

Alongside Daniel Craig as James Bond, the cast includes; Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Albert Finney.

Speaking at Pinewood Studios where Bond was filmed, Co-Producer Andrew Noakes, a veteran of 11 James Bond films, said; “Bond is quintessentially British and Jaguar and Land Rover are two of the most established and globally recognised British brands, so it was a natural step for us to involve them in the film. “
