The XJ Ultimate is Jaguar’s most luxurious model yet.

If you think of the Jaguar XJ as the quintessential British luxury car, wait till you get a load of the XJ Ultimate, Jaguar’s most luxurious offering yet. First unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, the XJ Ultimate is now on sale in India with prices ranging from Rs 1.78 crore for the 3-litre diesel version and Rs 1.88 crore for the supercharged V8 petrol version (all prices ex-Showroom Mumbai, pre octroi)
Based on the long-wheelbase XJ, the XJ Ultimate proudly carries the tag of the most luxurious model Jaguar has ever made. It comes with everything a pampered chauffeur-driven customer could wish for: individually adjustable powered seats with recline and massage function, motorized fold-down table, 20-speaker Meridian surround-sound audio system with twin headrest-mounted screens and iPads mounted below the back of both the front seats.

In terms of design, the XJ Ultimate differentiates itself from the rest of the XJ range with discreet design elements such as sculpted lower air intakes chromed to match the grille, stainless steel oval exhaust pipes, new-design alloy wheels and ‘Ultimate’ badging.
The XJ Ultimate gets the same engines that power the standard XJ range; a 5-litre, 510PS, supercharged V8, 3-litre V6 diesel and a 3-litre turbocharged V6 petrol. All these engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
