The 510PS XJ Supersport Taxi can take up to three passengers on a high speed thrill around the 'Ring.

Following BMW's famous 'Ring Taxi' in which people can occupy the passenger seat and experience a fast lap around the Nurburgring in its M5, Jaguar has launched its very own first-ever taxi service. The British brand's 'Ring Cab' is based on the recently launched long wheelbase Jaguar XJ Supersport limo that is equipped with Sport and Speed options.
A supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine that produces 514PS of power and 625Nm of torque supplies power to the XJ Supersport. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 280 kmph. Besides, removing the electronic speed limited the car is mechanically standard.

On the inside, the XJ Supersport has stripped some of the luxury elements in order provide more safety. The interior features a full bespoke roll cage and four race seats with each seat equipped with a four-point harness. The exterior of the Jaguar's Nurburgring Taxi is finished in a non-standard matt grey paint.

"We’ve been running a successful Nürburgring driving programme from our Nordschleife engineering test centre now for some time, as it’s the very best place to demonstrate the dynamic abilities of the current Jaguar XF, XJ and XK models," said Frank Klaas, global head of communications for Jaguar Land Rover.
"Of these models, we found it's the XJ Supersport that most often surprises journalists with its speed simply because they perceive it to be a large luxury car," he added.
