To be made available in eight cities in the first phase.
We all have waited for a long time for this day to come. While it not be as historic as the invention of wheel, today's certainly a very special day. And the reason is, obviously, Mahindra Reva e2o.

Mahindra Reva has finally launched the car in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 5.96 lakh on road in New Delhi, the electric vehicle will be made available in 8 cities through 29 dealerships in the first phase. Fossil fuels won't last for long and the world won't remain green either, thus it's time we started looking for options. The e2o looks very promising. It's practical, inexpensive to run and can prove to be a great first electric car.

The four seater electric car will be assembled at Mahindra's new facility based in Bengaluru, a new plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 units. Powered by a 48-volt lithium ion battery, it can go up to a 100km per charge. It can do a maximum of 80kmph and can be charged using a standard 15 ampere power point. A full charge will take close to 5 hours.
We shall update you on the rest of the specifications and why we feel that the e2o is a very practical alternative.
