Lamborghini Urus concept SUV images leaked

Earlier today we reported that the Lamborghini’s has officially named its new concept SUV, Urus. The concept SUV is probably the most discussed car today, and we are eagerly waiting to see the new Raging Bull. Apparently we won’t have to, as the first renderings of the new Urus have leaked on the internet, before its global unveiling at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.   

The Urus is one of the most aggressive looking SUVs, clearly inspired from the Estoque concept displayed at the 2008 Paris Show. The front is similar to that of the Aventador, while the overall form is of a coupe crossover. Although, no details are available as yet, we can be sure that it will rely heavily on carbon fibre, much like its siblings. The word is that, it will mostly be powered by company’s V10 engine, tuned to produce around 600PS. Just like in other Lambo models, power will be sent to all four wheels through either a 6-speed E-gear transmission from the Gallardo or 7-speed automated transmission from the Aventador.  

The interiors of the Urus are also qui9te similar to that seen on other models - A cascading center stack looks to be made of the same carbon fiber-reinforced polymer that was used on the Sesto Elemento Concept and includes a large touchscreen. At the bottom of the stack looks to be the same red jet-fighter-esque start button cover as on the Aventador.  Of course, it also has an extra row to seat two more passengers in the rear.

Lamborghini will push this car in to production soon, hoping for results similar to that enjoyed by Porsche after launch of the Cayenne. Stay tuned to Oncars, as we bring you full information of the new Lamborghini Urus from its world premiere in Beijing, on Monday.
