The ground clearance of the vehicle will be reduced by a few mm for a lower stance and sportier handling.

After its Victoria Beckham SE launch at the recently concluded 2012 Beijing Auto Show, Land Rover is now in works to develop the Sport version of the Range Rover Evoque. This information was revealed by Land Rover’s design director Gerry McGovern at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. The Evoque has recorded staggering sales since its launch and has become the best seller for the brand. The crossover was sold out within days of its launch in India, and the story is similar in majority of the markets around the world.
The present Evoque already has a sporty look as compared to its counterparts, like the Audi Q3. And in sportier avtar it is certain to grab lot more eye balls and probably even better numbers. Along with its styling, the performance is also expected to inculcate a change with both the petrol and diesel engines getting boost in its power and torque. The ground clearance of the Evoque Sport might also be reduced by a few millimeters for a lower stance and sportier handling.

We might get to see the concept Evoque Sport soon, much like the convertible version that was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. However, Halewood facility is currently running at capacity to cater to the existing orders for the Evoque and it will have to be seen when JLR will be in position to launch a new version of this very successful model.
