Live - Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton W launch

The day has dawned when Mahindra & Mahindra's Korean subsidiary will officially enter the Indian market. And the first product to roll out the Korean brand will be the third generation Ssangyong Rexton W.

And yet again today, we found ourselves driving along with the high-end SUV to the launch event and managed to get couple of more and clearer shots of the Rexton SUV that is going to be launched in India in about an hour or so.

Yesterday, we had also mentioned that two variants of the SUV will be offered on sale in India and from the images we can tell one of the variants that is going to be introduced is the RX 5.

All about the Ssangyong Rexton W will be revealed in just a few minutes as the official launch event will get underway any time now. So stay tuned to OnCars.in as we bring you all the live updates, images and information.

- Mahindra were hoping to get the Sssangyong sooner. 

- The Rexton SUV will feature a 5-Speed and E-Tronic transmission.  

- It will be powered by a 2.7-litre engine that will be offered in two states of tune - a 165PS,340Nm and a 186PS, 402Nm.

- Two variants will be offered RX5 and RX7.

- RX5 will come with a manual transmission.

- RX7 will feature an automatic transmission; will use the same engine but will be more powerful.

- The Rexton W SUV will feature a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

- It will also feature ESP and 4 airbags.

- Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton W SUV will feature a sunroof too.

- The Ssangyong Rexton will come with 2-year/1,00,000 km warranty. Optional extended one year warranty will be offered.

- Mahindra has the capacity to roll out upto 500 units of the Rexton SUV every month.

- 22 per cent localisation has been achieved for the Ssangyong Rexton already. More localisation is under consideration and take shape depending upon demand.

- And now the price of the Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton W SUV are going to be announced.

- Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton W RX5 - Rs 17.67 lakh

- Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton W RX7 - Rs 19.67 lakh.
