The new range of engines will go into production within the next three years.
Now that the Rexton W is here, Mahindra is aiming to up the ante with the announcement of upcoming global range of engines. The company, along with its Korean partner Ssangyong, has said that three new engines are being developed which will go into production in the next three years’ time.
This new range of engines will be developed specifically for markets like India, South Korea and other markets worldwide. While there isn’t any specific information on the engine details, what’s certain though is that the new range will power a number of upcoming models from the Mahindra-Ssangyong stable.

"We are looking at joint product development. Currently we are working together to develop three new engine platforms for both Mahindra & Mahindra and SsangYong," said Pravin Shah, M&M Chief Executive, Automotive Division.
