The spacious MUV, although with quite a few rough edges, has been a success in the Indian market.

The Mahindra Xylo was never the best looking car in its class; in fact, it’s not even remotely close to it. The driving dynamics aren’t really any good to talk about either but its value for money factor certainly gave it enough boost to amass big numbers in little time.
The 2012 version launched this year with improved looks and a long list of features, only raked in more numbers for Mahindra. The company now has announced that its popular MUV, the Xylo has crossed sales of over 1 lakh units. If we go by the sales numbers for the last few months, it seems then that the Xylo has nudged ahead of its arch rival, the Toyota Innova – which is more of a premium offering and doesn’t really stack up against the Mahindra in VFM proposition.
Commenting on this milestone, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “I would like to congratulate everyone who has been associated with this achievement of the Xylo. Having set new benchmarks in luxurious space and with a host of features for passenger comfort, the Xylo has been an unmitigated success since its launch. The 1 lakh plus vehicle further reaffirms Xylo’s popularity and reflects high customer satisfaction with the product”.
