Mahindra’s latest commercial offering promises to be a better all rounder than its competitors.

Mahindra launches Maxximo Plus mini truck at Rs 3.4 lakh

Launched back in February 2010 as a direct rival to the Tata Ace, the Mahindra Maxximo has been a great hit (albeit not as much as the Ace) in the mini truck segment, and now with the launch of the new Maxximo Plus, the mini truck promises to be the most technological advanced vehicle of its kind on sale today.

Priced at Rs 3.4 lakh for the BS3 version (ex-showroom, Thane), the Maxximo Plus replaces the current model and according to Mahindra, promises to be a far better all rounder than its competitors. The mini truck boasts of a special Fuel Smart Technology, which enables the driver to choose between two driving modes – Power and Economy. In power mode, the Maxximo Plus’ engine makes use of 26PS of power to deliver high performance, while in Economy mode; the power output is down to around 17PS to deliver a higher mileage of 21.9 kmpl (claimed).

The Maxximo Plus features a longer wheelbase of 1950mm and a sturdier seven-leaf rear suspension to transport heavy loads over rough roads as compared to the current Maxximo. With an improved 850kg of rated payload and a 2 year/60,000 km warranty, the Maxximo Plus is all set to replace the current model.
