The company suspends imports of the luxury sedan into the Indian market.
Maruti Suzuki India Pvt Ltd have today announced that the company has stopped importing its luxury sedan Kizashi into the Indian market. The sedan that was launched in the country just 18 months back is now being offered with a massive discount of Rs 5 lakh in order to clear the pending stocks.
Due to limited number of buyers, the Indian automaker will now only be importing the Kizashi into the country against orders.
"Yes, it will come to India only when there are orders," Mr Mayank Pareek, managing executive officer of sales & marketing.

The sedan that failed to graduate to the upper end of the luxury sedan segment was launched in India just 18 months back at Rs 16.5 lakh for the manual version and Rs 17.5 lakh for automatic version (ex-showroom, New Delhi.)
Maruti Suzuki Kizashi is the second premium vehicle from the Indian automaker's stable - first being Suzuki Grand Vitara - that failed to take a flight in the Indian market. Guess the king of small car segment should probably just concentrate on small cars.
