Mercedes Benz C-Class & E-Class Sport Edition launched

The limited 'Sport' edition C-Class & E-Class gets AMG style package, sporty alloys and black top roof.
Last month we had reported that Mercedes Benz is mulling to introduce two limited edition models in the form of the S-Class and E-Class Sport in time for the festive season of Diwali. Today however, the German carmaker have rolled in the 'Sport' limited editions of its C-Class and the E-Class models at Rs 29.9 lakh and Rs 39.9 lakh respectively (Both prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.)

The C-Class Sport Edition features the AMG Body styling with front and rear bumper aprons and side skirts adding to the aggressive and sporty look of the car making it visually more dynamic. The model ridded on 17-inch, 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and features a black painted roof with a 'Sport' badge on it. The C-Class Sport Edition comes with halogen lamp and fog lamps and is available in Polar White body colour.
On the inside, there is Artico upholstery with a Black piano lacquer trim. The entertainment system of the C-Class Sport Edition comes equipped with an Audio 20 with single CD player, with USB, Aux in and Bluetooth connectivity. The C 220 CDI also features a Mirror Package.
Safety features include Pre-Safe, Neck Pro, Tyre Pressure Loss warning system, ABS with ESP, Acceleration Skid and 6 air bags.

The E-Class Sport Edition’s aggressive looks owes to its AMG Body Styling that comprises the front and rear bumper aprons and sports side skirts. The new 18 inches 5 spoke light alloy wheels with the black painted roof and a SPORT badge makes the exterior of the E-Class Sport Edition more dynamic. The E-Class Sport Edition has halogen lamps, sports the stylish LED Day time driving light and comes with Direct Control Suspension resulting in a smoother ride quality. The E-Class Sport Edition will be available in Polar White.
On the inside, the E-Class Sport Edition gets aortic upholstery and burr walnut wood trim. The mirror package and THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control adds on to the convenience of the passengers, while the entertainment package comprises the Audio 20 with single CD player, with USB, Aux in and Bluetooth Connectivity.
Safety features include a PRE – SAFE, NECK Pro, Attention Assist and tire pressure loss warning system, ABS, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Acceleration Skid Control (ASR) and six airbags.
The E-Class Sport Edition is being powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder that churns out 174PS of max power and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 7G Tronic automatic transmission and uses fuel saving technology in the form of Eco Start Stop and features Advanced Parking Guidance system.
Mercedes Benz India had rolled out the C-Class AMG Perfromance Edition back in June and the S-Class Sport Limited Edition is expected to be introduced in the Indian market in the coming months.
The Sport Edition of the C-Class 220 CDI and the E-Class 220 CDI Sport Edition was launched by Mr Peter Honegg, managing director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Mr Debashis Mitra, director of sales & marketing, Mercedes-Benz India.
