Mercedes Benz R-Class diesel automatic launched

The new R350 CDI diesel 4MATIC variant of the R-Class has been launched at Rs 58.9 lakh.
Catering to the current diesel-biased auto market, Mercedes Benz India have expanded its R-Class portfolio by introducing a diesel variant in the form of Mercedes Benz R350 CDI 4MATIC in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 58.9 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi.)
The diesel variant of the R-Class, the R350 CDI powered by a 2.9-litre V6 diesel engine now joins the existing R350 4MATIC petrol in the country. The engine comes mated to a 7G-TRONIC with 4WD transmission and returns a mileage of 11.25kmpl. The new 7-seater MPV will come with LED daytime running lights, steel chassis with air suspension system in the rear to aid comfort and improve driving dynamics. On the inside, there is said to be room for seven full-sized adults with comfortable head and elbow room. The luggage compartment is capable of holding 633 to 2,385 litters.

Also on offer is the new Sporty Aluminum Trim that features electric sunroof, 18-inch ten spoke alloy wheels, chrome package and LED daytime running lights.
Commenting on the introduction of the vehicle Mr Debashis Mitra, director, sales & marketing, Mercedes-Benz India said, “The R-350CDI CDI 4MATIC is the latest addition to the successful Mercedes-Benz R-class stable. We are sure that the diesel variant of this crossover model will be an attractive proposition for our valuable customers. The car has 7G-TRONIC with 4WD transmission with a mileage of 11.25 kmpl.”
