The entire A45 AMG-based model range will share the same 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine.
Just this week, Mercedes-Benz introduced the A45 AMG hot hatch to the world, however, there’s already talk about expanding the high-performance model range beyond the traditional four-door version.
While the A45 AMG will be on sale starting next month, Mercedes-Benz will soon add the CLA45 AMG sedan to the range. The car is likely to be shown at the New York Auto Show in March. Then there will be the GLA45 AMG SUV slated to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show later during the year. Completing the high-performance model range will be the CLA45 AMG shooting brake. The latter, which is more or less like an estate car, is said to arrive at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The entire A45 AMG-based model range will share the same 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine found in the hot hatch. The engine produces over 350PS of power and 400Nm of torque and comes mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox with AMG’s version of the 4-Matic all-wheel drive system.
