The special edition Mini convertible will go on sale worldwide by April 2012.

After the two limited-run editions of the hatchback, the Mini Baker Street and the Mini Bayswater were launched just two weeks back, its now the turn of the Mini Convertible to get a new moniker. Mini has launched the third London-themed special edition and is calling it, the Mini Highgate Convertible.
The Mini Highgate Convertible features an ' Iced Chocolate' paint scheme and a brown fabric roof with a light metallic sheen and brown/black bonnet stripes with blue edging. Midnight Black and White Silver metallic paintwork can be optionally specified. The new model stands on a 17-inch Double Cross light-alloy wheel in a bespoke shaded aluminum finish and Highgate badging. The same colour theme continues on the inside with the leather seats finished in Dark Truffle and coupled with light contrast stitching and light blue piping. Stainless steel pedal, Sun-touched Brushed Alloy interior trim elements and the Chrome Line Interior package come as standard.

The new Highgate special edition soft-top, four-seater model can be ordered in the 122PS Cooper, 184PS Cooper S, the 112PS Cooper D and the 143PS Cooper SD variants with a six-speed manual as standard transmission. A six-speed automatic is also offered as an option.
The name of the SE model, Highgate is taken from one of the most exclusive residential areas of London, which is located in the north of England's capital. Highgate, is known for its historic architecture and wide-open spaces, and is home to many showbiz celebrities.
The new Mini Convertible Highgate is priced between Euro 21,080 (Rs 10.54 lakh approximately) and Euros 25,830 (Rs 12.91 lakh approximately) and will go on sale worldwide in April. It will also be available in India through your local Mini dealer.
