After Ferrari and Ducati, Mini becomes the third automotive brand to embrace Puma for producing branded merchandise.

You may or may not visit the Puma stores regularly for their sporting goods – but something that catches the fancy of all petrolheads is the Ferrari and Ducati branded merchandise that these stores flaunt. If that’s not all, you also have the Buddh International Circuit’s merchandise on sale in select Puma stores around the country.  Now, the sports brand has signed a deal with another automotive brand – Mini.

The iconic brand, which made its official debut in India back at the 2012 Auto Expo, will now have its emblem plastered across a range of Puma merchandise like boots, sweatshirts, tees, bags, caps and the likes. The design for this merchandise will be inspired by the UK way of life and will feature British icons like the Union Jack and the British Bulldog. The merchandise will be inspired by Mini’s principle of making creative use of space.

“In PUMA we have found an ideal partner that shares our enthusiasm for a sporty, urban look and lifestyle, has a worldwide presence and, like MINI, appeals to young, open-minded target groups”, says Dr Thomas Goerdt, Director Lifestyle Collections at the BMW Group.

There is no word yet on if and when the Mini merchandise will hit the Indian market – but given the popularity of the Puma and Mini brands in our market, we don’t think it will be too long before the stuff comes to India!
