With the launch of new outlet in New Delhi, the iconic brand is aiming for a strong growth in India. 

Mini opens second dealership in India

Mini has officially announced the opening of Bird Automotive in New Delhi – its second dealership in India after Infinity Cars in Mumbai. Located in Vasant Kunj, the showroom spans over 5000 sq ft across two floors with six cars on display that include the entry-level Mini Cooper, the turbo-charged Cooper S, Mini Cooper convertible and the four-door Countryman. The after sales service will also be handled by Bird Automotive’s through a workshop in Gurgaon. 

“With the launch of Bird Automotive, we have brought Mini, the world’s most exciting premium small car brand, to Delhi” said Dr Andreas Schaaf, president, BMW Group India. 

Commenting on the alliance with Mini India, Gaurav Bhatia, Managing Director, Bird Automotive, said “We have been working with BMW Group India since 2007 and this association has been very successful and tremendously exciting. We are thrilled to be a part of the MINI celebration in India with the launch of the new MINI dealership by Bird Automotive in Delhi. We look forward to an enthusiastic response from our customers for the charismatic and exciting MINI” 

With plans of setting up another dealership in Delhi within the third quarter of 2012, Mini aims for a strong growth in the Indian market with its iconic heritage and premium range of models. Speaking on the growth, Dr Andreas Schaaf said that the dealership in Mumbai has already sold more than 50 cars in May and he expects a similar growth in New Delhi.
